Diet Sayler

Sayler returns Concrete Art to space or, to put it more precisely, he reclaims it for space, which – and this is a given from Russian Constructivist tradition as well as Mondrian – had always been the essential, indispensable resonator. He realized, in fact, that the rigid geometry of what we might term »Postconcrete« art was a dead end because it had developed into a superficial phenomenon.
